I am Guilty

I am Guilty

Procrastination is most definitely deceptive. This action of the soul likes to hide behind excuses. Until the Lord searched my heart…(by my invitation i.e. prayer) I was quite comfortable allowing this flaw to steal away precious and valuable time from my life.

James 4:2b “…you do not have, because you do not ask.” Or as Rick Renner penned “…teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12. We each have a certain amount of time on this earth to do what God has planned for our lives and called us to do!”

It seems like a joke to most of us. We offer excuses like, I just didn’t get around to it, or I meant to send it, or I think that would work. Only to never accomplish most of what we “thought” we should. As a Christian who wants God to speak, and me to obey, I have to pause long enough to ask where is this thought coming from. Was it God who caused me to think about my relative’s soul? Or was I just having an emotional moment? Or why don’t I send a letter, or better yet an email to my friend, brother, sister, or neighbor about the implications of “putting off” their eternal destination? It certainly isn’t the devil suggesting that kind of thinking.

This Sunday, Pastor Cathy and I begin a new series entitled, “The Art of Procrastination.” We so much want you to hear this message. We invite all of you reading this e-letter to find your way to Sunday Morning Service at 9:30 am. We promise to bring a relevant message that could save your life, if you let it.

Invite someone to join you. If you cannot be with us personally, please go to our website: praise-fellowship.org and listen to the podcast.

See You in Church,

Pastor Greg
