As stated on their website, Youth With A Mission (aka YWAM, pronounced “WHY-wham”) is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions. They are dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world, united in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.
Back when they began in 1960, their main focus was to get youth involved in Missions. While they still focus on the youth today, they also involve people aged 8 to 80! They currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.
Currently, we support a missionary family from YWAM that is living in Turkey. For their protection while in Turkey, we need to keep their identity private, so we will not disclose their names on our website. We hear from them regularly and update our congregation with testimonies and prayer requests as needed.
